The Worlds Best Snorkeling - French Polynesia

French Polynesia is made up of several groups of islands, many of which are outstanding snorkeling destinations. Most famous in this respect are perhaps Tahiti, Bora Bora and Huahine. Located in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, French Polynesia is a small country in terms of land mass, but counting its ocean territory, it covers an area about the same size as Europe. Snorkelers are amazed by the density of large marine life in these waters claim the local tourism authorities (Tahiti-tourisme.com).

"Regular encounters include manta rays whose gigantic wingspan eclipses the passing diver; schools of dolphin dancing along the surf; sharks seemingly at every turn; and, in the Austral Islands, humpback whales thrill the lucky spectators in their annual parade."

Been there, done that?
