The Worlds Best Scuba Diving - Belize

Belize has the second largest barrier reef in the world, and has long been a dream destination for scuba divers. Three out of four Caribbean atolls are found in Belize, the most famous being the Great Blue Hole. Over 300 metres (984 ft) across and 120 metres (394 ft) deep and inhabited by several species of shark, diving this small atoll is an adventure of a lifetime. Belize is also a great place to dive with whale sharks.

"Belize's barrier reef has been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Water visibility commonly reaches 100+ feet; water temperature hovers around 80 degrees Fahrenheit; and the barrier reef makes for calm water most of the year." (Travelbelize.org)
