The Worlds Best White Water Rafting - White Nile

The White Nile or Victoria Nile is one of the main tributaries to the Nile River, and it flows from Lake Victoria in Uganda and through much of Sudan before it joins the longest river on the planet. Only a short distance from the placid Lake Victoria, the river explodes into wild rapids of thundering white water providing some of the best rafting in the world. Multi-day trips are available as well as daytrips to some of the best rapids near Bujagali.

"Located some 8kms out of Jinja this is a spectacular scenic spot with 1 km of raging rapids, forested islands in the Nile and an abundance of bird life. Bujagali has become East Africa's adventure centre enticing visitors with river rafting, kayaking, bungy jumping and quad biking activities." (Traveluganda.co.ug)

Rafting the Nile was one of the craziest things I've ever done. I was tossed around and out of the boat so much I actually thought I might die! So glad I did it though. Unfortunately, the government is planning on building a hydroelectric damn soon that will take out some of the best rapids along this stretch.
